توفي فجر الاثنين الفنان المصري كمال الشناوي بعد رحلة مع التمثيل قدم خلالها عددا من الافلام البارزة في تاريخ السينما المصرية
وقالت وكالة أنباء الشرق الاوسط أن الشناوي توفي عن "90عاما بعد صراع مع المرض ليضع الفصل الاخير في ظاهرة الممثل الذي احتفظ بتألقه وحضوره الفني على الشاشة السينمائية لمدة تصل الى 62 عاما قدم خلالها أكثر من مائتي عمل في السينما والتلفزيون."
ولد الشناوي يوم 26 ديسمبر كانون الاول عام 1921 بالمنصورة وعمل مدرسا لمادة التربية الفنية (الرسم) بالمدارس الثانوية كما مارس الفن التشكيلي ثم تفرغ للتمثيل حيث كانت بدايته السينمائية عام 1947 في فيلم (غني حرب) للمخرج نيازي مصطفى (1911 - 1986) أما اخر أفلامه فهو (الواد محروس بتاع الوزير) عام 1999 مع الفنان عادل امام
