حذرت الادارة العامة للمباحث الجنائية في الكويت من استعمال اللاب توب الخاص بهم دون وضع غطاء على الكاميرا نظرا لورود معلومات بقدرة بعض «الهاكرز» على تشغيل الكاميرا للطرف الآخر والتلصص على اسرار المنازل وتسجيل اشرطة لمناظر داخل المنازل. وقال مصدر امني : يجب عند استعمال اللاب توب وضع غطاء على الكاميرا وهي مغلقة احتياطا حتى لا يستغل ضعاف النفوس غفلة مستخدم اللاب توب بكون الكاميرا مطفأة ويجلس مع اسرته بمنزله بأوضاع يمكن ان يتم استغلالها من قبل المتجاوزين. وحذر المصدر «مستخدمي الشبكة العنكبوتية من هذا الامر بعد ورود شكاوى من مواطنين ومقيمين بقدرة مستخدمي الشبكة على اختراق اجهزتهم وتشغيل كاميراتهم وتسجيل اشرطة حية لهم في منازلهم وتهديدهم بها او ابتزازهم ماديا». وخلص إلى «ان هذا يعد جريمة في القانون وتصنف على كونها جناية دخول مسكن من دون إذن، منوها الى ان الادارة الالكترونية التابعة للادارة العامة للمباحث الجنائية تتابع هذا الامر بحذر شديد وتدعو المواطنين للحذر والانتباه.
